Perry St
It’s restaurant week and you know what that means - rich and enticing reviews!
After prolonging efforts to see my friend to the max, we finally made plans to meet for my first early dinner for Restaurant Week NYC. He asked me to look on Open Table for a place I liked and to make a reservation. As I skimmed through the names of restaurants that looked delicious and welcoming, I ran across Perry St. in the West Village. I’ve previously been to Perry St. on a date with a guy I had been seeing, but my mind merely remembers wine and flirtation as we drank and dined into the night. I decided that we would plan to meet there.

While it was quite the pleasure to see my friend and recollect old memories, as well as sharing new ones, I was quite hungry after a long day and my mind was very enthusiastic for the meal to come. During restaurant week, the prix-fixe menu allows you to pay $38 for a starter, main course and dessert. My choice was as follows:
House Made Burrata, Strawberry Jam, Olive Oil and Basil
Slow Cooked Salmon, Ginger-Chili Sauce, Baby Bok Choy, Mint
Rasberry Sherbert

Minutes after ordering the waiter came over with a little something from the chef: chilled tomato soup with a cheddar biscuit – oh how these flavors tango! As we finished this tasteful sample our appetizers arrived and we ate them as though we had been hungry for days. The service was on point and as soon as we finished our appetizers our entrées were in front of us. My salmon was cooked to perfection and I’ve never been happier with the outcome of a meal!

I highly recommend not only visiting Perry St, either to catch up with an old friend or on a date, but you should definitely give restaurant week a try as well. It’s the perfect opportunity to explore thealmost unlimited choices of cuisine New York has to offer for an amazing price.
