Before I moved in with my current boyfriend, I lived in the West Village for a year and a half. I made it my mission to find its nooks and crannies. One Sunday morning my boyfriend and I were looking for a good Mediterranean restaurant in my area and we ran across Mémé Mediterranean.
We walked over on the sunny day weaving in between tourists and locals taking in the summer weather as well. The restaurant was packed, but we were second in line, and quickly seated. We sat outside in the refreshing breeze, and were quickly served a glass of water and a smile from our waiter.
We ordered some hummus - obviously, melawach (pictured above) and some shakshuka. YUM! I have since fallen in love with Mediterranean cuisine. For dessert we had their Goat Cheese Panna Cotta.
The day was beautiful, and the service amazing. We have since moving in together made our way back to this little West Village nook, and recommended it to friends. The ambiance is very cozy, and the inside seating comfortable. Though the wait sometimes can be lengthy they have always a wonderful job of taking care of us.
More to come soon, I have a list of 200 amazing places I’m going to be exploring and sharing with you!
